TPI recently published an Application For Exemption directly to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for sod haulers to be included in current agriculture exemptions impacting hours of service (HOS) and electronic logging devices (ELDs). The FMCSA published has now published this request in the Federal Register, and it is vitally important that they hear directly from sod producers on how important these agricultural exemptions are to our industry. Please see the attached document for instructions on how to log on and provide comments. The public comment period closes on July 19, 2019.
