Please join me in welcoming Libby Atwater to the TPI family! Libby began with TPI in October as our new Membership Experience Manager. This new role will focus on primarily two areas. The first is all things membership. If you have a question about renewal or general TPI goings-on, Libby is excited to be your first point of contact. She will be spearheading initiatives to increase membership growth and sponsorships for TPI. As the first and largest association of its kind, we grow and support all aspects of natural grass production in both the US and abroad. To that end, Libby will also be developing and implementing our marketing and advertising initiatives. Her diverse experience with engagement, outreach, technical expertise and customer service will be an incredible asset to TPI.
Libby joins us from Des Moines, Iowa, where she most recently worked in the agricultural insurance space. With a background in technology, social media strategy and customer success, she’ll be leveraging these skills to better serve our membership both in day-to-day work and connecting online.
“One of the amazing things about people in the sod industry is the passion for what they do and how they do it,” she says. “Sod is such a cornerstone in communities around the world, whether it’s part of the fields where people go to watch sports, parks where children hang out and play, or neighborhood barbeques bringing neighbors together. TPI at both a staff and member level has such an enthusiasm for promoting and supporting natural grass use, and I’m looking forward to helping TPI reach its future membership and fundraising goals as well as meet members from around the country and the world.”
Libby will be attending our annual International Education Conference and Field day hosted in Tucson, Arizona, this year. Please feel free to stop and introduce yourself!
